Rolls-Royce Service History Check — £4.99
Check a Rolls-Royce's service history online by registration for £4.99. The check pulls the digital service records Rolls-Royce's dealer network holds for the car — every logged service with its date, mileage, dealer and work done — usually within 10 minutes, and emails you the result with the manufacturer's PDF.
Most results arrive within 10 minutes; some manufacturers take up to 48 hours. Emailed to you as a PDF. No subscription needed.

Before you pay we confirm the manufacturer is one we can retrieve records for. Charged per search: the fee applies whether or not records are found.
Best results: digital service records are most complete for vehicles from 2012 onwards that have been serviced by a franchised dealer.
How Rolls-Royce records service history
Rolls-Royce keeps a central digital service record for each car. Each time a franchised Rolls-Royce dealer services the vehicle, the date, mileage and work done are written to the manufacturer's record rather than a book kept in the glovebox.
The Whispers app (Rolls-Royce Connected) shows the car's health status and when the next service is due, but not the full history; the dealer network holds the record, so a registration-based check or the dealer is the way to see it.
Typical service interval: annually or about 10,000 miles, whichever comes first, with Condition Based Service setting the exact timing. A record that skips an interval is worth asking about.
- Rolls-Royce is a BMW Group marque and its dealer network keeps a digital record of servicing; the check retrieves what that network holds.
What a Rolls-Royce service history check shows
The check asks Rolls-Royce's dealer network for the digital records held against the registration and returns every entry it holds:
- The date of each service or repair and the mileage at the time
- The type of service (scheduled service, oil service, inspection, repair) and the work carried out
- The dealer or workshop that logged it
- The manufacturer's own PDF where Rolls-Royce supplies one
You do not need to own the car, know the VIN or ask the seller: the registration is enough. The result stays available online for six months and is emailed to you.
What a Rolls-Royce service history report looks like
An illustrative example: every entry the manufacturer's dealer network holds is listed with its date, mileage, the type of service, the work carried out and the dealer that logged it. The vehicle and entries below are invented to show the layout; a real report contains only what Rolls-Royce's system returns for the registration you enter.
Example vehicle: 2018 five-door hatchback, 1.5 petrol, 47,210 miles at the last MOT. Five records found.
| Date | Mileage | Service | Work done | Where |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 14 Mar 2019 | 11,860 | Scheduled service (1st) | Engine oil and filter, pollen filter, inspection service; software update applied | Franchised dealer, Leeds |
| 22 Feb 2020 | 23,405 | Scheduled service (2nd) | Engine oil and filter, brake fluid change, inspection service | Franchised dealer, Leeds |
| 09 Mar 2021 | 31,980 | Scheduled service (3rd) | Engine oil and filter, air filter, spark plugs, inspection service; recall campaign completed | Franchised dealer, Wakefield |
| 18 Jul 2022 | 41,120 | Repair | Front brake pads and discs replaced; wheel alignment | Franchised dealer, Wakefield |
| 30 Mar 2023 | 44,760 | Scheduled service (4th) | Engine oil and filter, brake fluid change, inspection service | Franchised dealer, Wakefield |
- Reading it: mileages rise steadily and the gaps are about a year apart, which matches an annual schedule. The 2022 entry is a repair, not a service, so the interval between the third and fourth services is a little over two years — worth asking about.
- Where the manufacturer supplies its own PDF, it is attached to your email alongside this table. Reports stay available online for six months.
- A report with no records looks like this table with no rows and a clear statement that the manufacturer holds no digital entries; see what that means.
Reading a Rolls-Royce service record
- Mileages should rise steadily. A reading lower than the one before points to a clocking or a data-entry error; compare with the MOT mileages on a free MOT check.
- Gaps between entries. Rolls-Royce's schedule is annually or about 10,000 miles, whichever comes first, with Condition Based Service setting the exact timing; a longer gap usually means an independent garage did the work, which only appears if that garage uploaded it. Ask for invoices.
- Nothing before 2012. Earlier services may sit in a paper book or an older system that was never transferred.
- No records at all. Not the same as no service history — but treat a claimed "full Rolls-Royce main-dealer history" with no digital entries as a red flag and ask the seller to explain it.
