How to check a car’s factory spec and options by registration

Search the registration on the DealerPricing dashboard, open the Vehicle Details tab and click Check Spec. The specification is decoded from the vehicle’s identity and grouped into standard features, options, packs and accessories, with original list prices where available, so you can verify an advert and price desirable extras.

Search the registration on the dashboard
Enter the VRM and, if you know it, the mileage. DealerPricing decodes the exact make, model, variant, engine, gearbox and body style, then pulls every matching live listing.

Why does factory spec matter when pricing?
Two cars with the same model and mileage can differ by thousands in retail value because of options. Knowing what was fitted lets you price the extras and avoid paying for a spec the car does not have.
Is the spec check included in every plan?
Specification checks are part of the Pro plans. Basic plans include the decoded identity, listings, valuations and insights.
Can I check spec without a dealer account?
The paid vehicle history check includes ten specification sections for the car, including engine, dimensions, weights, emissions and safety, but not the optional extras list.
