How to check a car’s factory spec and options by registration
Search the registration on the DealerPricing dashboard, open the Vehicle Details tab and click Check Spec. You get the standard spec sheet for that trim and the list of optional extras, packs and accessories that were available for the model, with original list prices where available. It lists what was available for the model; it does not show which optional extras were fitted to the individual car.

Search the registration on the dashboard
Enter the VRM and, if you know it, the mileage. DealerPricing decodes the exact make, model, variant, engine, gearbox and body style, then pulls every matching live listing.

The decoded identity (variant, engine, gearbox, body, doors) appears first. Check Spec loads the standard spec sheet and the optional extras list.

Optional extras and packs show original list prices. Use the list as a checklist against the advert and the car: it shows what could be ordered, so confirm on the vehicle what was actually fitted.

Frequently asked questions
Why does factory spec matter when pricing?
Two cars with the same model and mileage can differ by thousands in retail value because of options. Knowing what is standard and what was an extra-cost option lets you price the extras a car has and avoid paying for a spec it does not have.
Is the spec check included in every plan?
Standard spec sheets and the optional extras list are part of the Pro plans. The Basic plan includes the decoded identity, listings, DP valuations and insights.
Can I check spec without a dealer account?
The paid vehicle history check includes ten specification sections for the car, including engine, dimensions, weights, emissions and safety, but not the optional extras list.
