New Mazda Dealership Opens in Exeter
Eden Motor Group has officially opened its fifth Mazda dealership on the Marsh Barton Trading Estate in Exeter. The site began trading on 1 May and was welcomed by Mazda UK managing director Jeremy Thomson during a ribbon‑cutting ceremony.
Location and Background
Exeter joins Eden’s existing Mazda showrooms in Basingstoke, Reading, Newbury and Taunton, giving the group a stronger footprint across the South‑West. Although the new dealership is brand‑new, Eden Motor Group has been operating in the Exeter area since 2008, meaning the brand already enjoys a long‑standing local presence.
Eden Motor Group’s Growing Mazda Network
Graeme Potts, CEO of Eden Motor Retail Ltd, said he was delighted to add Exeter to the Mazda network, describing the location as “a key area for us” and noting that the expansion “further strengthens our relationship with Mazda”.
The group now runs 20 dealerships across the south of England, and its Mazda sites have already been recognised for performance. Both the Taunton and Basingstoke Mazda centres secured category wins in the manufacturer’s 2026 Mazda All Stars dealer performance awards.
Why the Opening Matters for Mazda Customers
Jeremy Thomson highlighted the significance of the Exeter launch, explaining that he grew up in the city and has a personal commitment to ensuring Mazda is well represented in Devon. He praised Eden’s “high‑profile” approach and expects the new site to replicate the “incredible success and significant growth” seen at the Taunton dealership.
New Model Availability at the Exeter Site
The opening comes at a busy time for Mazda’s UK dealer network, with the manufacturer launching three all‑new cars within a six‑month period. The new CX‑5 and Mazda6e are already on display at the Exeter showroom, and the site is among the first nationally to meet Mazda6e pre‑order targets.
Customer deliveries have already begun, with the Exeter location providing full sales, servicing and parts operations.
