How to run a vehicle history check from the dashboard

Search the registration, then click History Check (£2.50) next to the search box. The cost comes off your account balance and the report opens in seconds with the twelve provenance markers, keeper and plate history, full specification and MOT history. Reports are stored under Vehicle Checks for six months with a PDF.
Step by step
Search the registration
The History Check button becomes active once the car is decoded.
The dashboard VRM search with registration and optional mileage fields Click "History Check (£2.50)"
Confirm the check. The fee is deducted from your balance; top up from Profile → Billing if it is empty.
Read the report and download the PDF
The report opens with Vehicle clear or Issues found, then each marker in turn. Reopen any report later from the Vehicle Checks button.

Why is it £2.50 on the dashboard but £3.99 on the public page?
Subscribers get the trade rate on every check. The report is identical.
How long are reports kept?
Six months. You can reopen them and download the PDF again free of charge from Vehicle Checks.
Does a history check use a search credit?
No. It is charged from your account balance, separately from the monthly search allowance.
