Warranty Solutions Group ranks among the UK’s top workplaces for women – see how it compares with Kia, Hyundai and VW.
Great Place To Work UK survey highlights female-friendly workplaces
The latest Great Place To Work UK survey, which analyses confidential employee feedback, recognises organisations where female staff consistently enjoy high levels of trust, opportunity and workplace satisfaction. The results are published across three size categories – super large, large and medium‑sized companies – allowing a fair comparison of firms of similar scale.

WSG’s position among medium‑sized automotive firms
In the medium‑sized category, three automotive‑related companies featured in the top‑one‑hundred. Hyundai Capital UK Ltd, the in‑house finance arm of the Korean brand, secured the 35th spot. Warranty Solutions Group (WSG) was placed 53rd, while Kia UK Ltd ranked 90th. These positions indicate that a significant number of women within these organisations report a supportive culture.
Among the super‑large companies, Volkswagen Financial Services (UK) Ltd achieved the 42nd position, demonstrating that larger automotive finance groups are also making progress.
Leadership comments on gender equality
WSG’s Director Steph Newbery described the ranking as “one of the company’s proudest achievements”, noting that it reflects a culture built over recent years. She added, “As a female Director in a traditionally male‑dominated industry, it’s especially rewarding to see WSG recognised as a place where women are empowered to develop, lead and influence the future of the business.”
Newbery emphasised the firm’s belief that opportunities should be based on talent, ambition and potential, not gender. “This award reinforces that we’ve created an environment where those opportunities genuinely exist,” she said.

Commitment to ongoing development
Looking ahead, WSG states it will continue to invest in employee development and create long‑term career progression pathways. Newbery highlighted that the recognition belongs to “everyone across WSG who contributes to our success every single day”, from customer‑facing staff to team leaders and innovators.
She concluded, “We will keep listening to our colleagues, investing in their development and ensuring WSG remains a place where talented people can do the best work of their careers.”
How the rankings can guide job‑seekers and employers
For professionals seeking a supportive workplace, the Great Place To Work UK survey offers a useful benchmark. Companies that score highly demonstrate a commitment to gender inclusivity, which can translate into higher employee engagement, reduced turnover and a stronger employer brand.
Employers in the automotive sector can also learn from the approaches of Hyundai Capital UK, Kia UK and Volkswagen Financial Services, all of which appear in the same listings and illustrate a growing industry focus on creating equitable workplaces.
