Who Is the New Managing Director of BMW’s Flagship Park Lane Dealership?
James Morrison takes the helm at BMW Park Lane on 1 August – find out his background and what it means for the brand.
BMW has announced that James Morrison will become the new managing director of its flagship Park Lane dealership, effective 1 August. The name may sound familiar to music fans, but this James Morrison has spent more than two decades building a career inside the German‑brand group.

What the appointment means for Park Lane
James Morrison will succeed Michelle Roberts, who is moving on to the role of Vice President Customer, Brand & Sales at BMW M GmbH. BMW’s senior leadership praised Roberts for “successfully leading a period of transformation” at the Park Lane site, highlighting her contribution to the dealership’s recent evolution.
James Morrison’s experience within BMW
Since September 2025, Morrison has been part of BMW Group UK’s Corporate Communications team, where he has overseen product communications for both BMW and Mini across the United Kingdom. The company describes him as bringing “a deep understanding of the BMW Group and its customers, built through a 25‑year career with the company.”
Throughout his tenure, Morrison has held a variety of positions that span product and event management, stewardship of the Mini brand, corporate sales, and responsibilities within the BMW Luxury Class segment. His breadth of experience is expected to support the continued growth of the Park Lane flagship outlet.
What comes next for the communications team?
With Morrison moving into the managing‑director role, BMW Group UK will announce a successor for his former position in Corporate Communications in due course.
Wider leadership changes at BMW UK
The Park Lane appointment follows closely on the heels of another high‑profile change: Neil Fiorentinos has been named CEO of BMW Group UK and Ireland, taking over from David George. Fiorentinos will begin his new role on 1 September, signalling a broader reshuffle of senior leadership across the UK market.
These concurrent moves illustrate BMW’s strategic focus on reinforcing its leadership bench as the brand navigates a rapidly evolving automotive landscape in the United Kingdom.
How the changes affect dealers and customers
For dealers operating within the BMW network, the transition at Park Lane is likely to bring fresh perspectives on customer experience, brand positioning, and sales strategy, given Morrison’s background in communications and luxury‑class product stewardship. Existing customers can also expect continuity, as the outgoing managing director remains with the group in a senior brand‑focused role.
