See Lando Norris's Liberty Walk R32 GT-R at Classic Japfest 2025
Lando Norris's Liberty Walk Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R confirmed for Classic Japfest at Goodwood on October 4-5. See the Kaido-Works build up close.
For UK fans of Japanese performance icons, the date is now firmly set: October 4th and 5th, 2025, at the historic Goodwood Motor Circuit. The Liberty Walk Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R, famously associated with Formula 1 driver Lando Norris, is confirmed to be a star attraction at Classic Japfest. This event represents a prime opportunity for enthusiasts to see one of the most talked-about modified R32s in the country up close and in person.

An Engineering Masterpiece, Not Just a Bodykit
What sets this particular Nissan Skyline apart is the level of craftsmanship involved. This is not merely a bodykit bolted onto a legendary chassis. It is a comprehensive re-engineering project brought to life by Liberty Walk Europe, with the expert fabrication and paintwork handled by ColourKraft. The challenge was significant, as the Kaido-Works kit was originally designed for the narrower R32 GTS-t. To fit the wider-arched GT-R, the team extended panels, reshaped the rear quarters, and even relocated the rear lights to create a seamless, factory-finished appearance.
The car's finish is an exercise in stealthy detail. It features a full respray in Bentley Beluga Black, with the front and rear diffusers and sills coated in durable Raptor material. Adding to the subtlety are satin Quadrant decals that only become visible when the light hits them at the right angle, creating a monochrome and menacing aesthetic loaded with intricate detail.

Performance-Bred Chassis and Braking
The engineering excellence continues beneath the surface, ensuring the car's aggressive stance is matched by its dynamic capabilities. The Skyline rides on an AirREX air suspension system managed by Air Lift Performance 3P control, allowing it to be 'air-low' for shows and road-ready for driving. The chassis is further enhanced with Hardrace camber and toe arms, an Ultra Racing strut brace, and a Japspeed HICAS delete for more predictable rear-end handling.
Stopping power is provided by a substantial K-Sport big brake kit, featuring 8-piston calipers and 356mm floating discs at the front, complemented by 4-piston calipers and 330mm discs at the rear, all equipped with high-performance Pagid RS29 pads. The wheel and tyre combination is a deliberate nod to the golden era of Japanese tuning, with SSR Formula MESH three-piece wheels (18x11J front, 18x12.5J rear) wrapped in Yokohama Advan A052 tyres.

Modernised RB26 Powerhouse
Under the bonnet lies a potent and reliably built powerhouse. The legendary RB26DETT engine has been treated to a host of performance upgrades, including uprated HKS turbos, HKS race cams, a HKS fuel rail and injectors, and an A’PEXi Power Intake. Supporting modifications include a front-mount intercooler, a Mishimoto radiator and oil cooler, and a Fujitsubo Legalis exhaust system with a decat.
The engine management is handled by a modern Link G4 ECU, which delivers features like launch control and anti-lag. The result is a healthy and reliable 550bhp, blending old-school turbocharged character with contemporary tuning technology. The engine bay remains purposeful, featuring a carbon slam panel and an Ultra Racing brace.

Driver-Focused Interior with Quadrant Influence
Inside, the cabin reflects a focus on both lightweight performance and driver engagement. It features Tillett B10 racing seats, which were personally specified by Lando Norris himself, paired with Takata harnesses. A Nardi Classic steering wheel, a Kode harness bar, and a rear seat delete complete the performance-oriented theme. OEM-plus touches include Nismo mats and a gear shifter.
The build team confirmed that Lando was involved in the project, particularly in designing the interior, ensuring the car carries the distinct DNA of his Quadrant brand. An aftermarket audio system adds a modern touch, ensuring the drive is an immersive experience.

Your Chance to See it at Goodwood
Goodwood Motor Circuit provides the perfect historic backdrop for this build, which masterfully fuses Japanese automotive heritage with cutting-edge craftsmanship. Attending Classic Japfest is the only way to fully appreciate the details that photos cannot capture—the texture of the Raptor coatings, the subtle appearance of the Quadrant decals, and the imposing presence of the wide arches and classic SSR wheels.
