Ford Fair 2025 Uncovered: Epic Fast Ford Show at Silverstone
Relive Ford Fair 2025 at Silverstone: 15,000 fans saw 4,000 Fords, Cosworth legends, Guy Martin's 900bhp Supervan, and emotional tributes. Full show report.
The unmistakable scent of high-octane fuel and hot tyres still hangs in the air as we reflect on Ford Fair 2025. Held on Sunday, 10th August at the legendary Silverstone Circuit in Northamptonshire, the event didn't just meet expectations—it spectacularly surpassed them. With over 4,000 Fords on display and an impressive turnout of 15,000 dedicated fans, the atmosphere was electric, cementing Ford Fair's status as the UK's premier celebration of the Blue Oval.
Supported by headline partner Laird Performance, the 2025 event masterfully brought together every element that defines the fast Ford scene. From exhilarating track action and club camaraderie to jaw-dropping one-off builds, this was a day where passion for Ford engineering and modification culture was on full display.

Fastest Fords Display – An Engineering Showcase
For enthusiasts with a need for speed, the Fastest Fords Display, sponsored by Liqui Moly, was the undeniable centrepiece. Curated by the team from Fast Ford magazine, this year's selection was a breathtaking mix of raw power, meticulous engineering, and track-honed performance. Each vehicle was hand-picked for its ability to stand out from the crowd.
These weren't merely static exhibits. Throughout the day, many of these incredible machines were unleashed on Silverstone's hallowed tarmac, treating the crowds to a sensory overload of roaring engines, fiery exhausts, and tyre-shredding action.
Adding to the spectacle, Academy Motorsport arrived with their impressive race truck and not one, but two, competition-ready Mustangs. Their European GT4 racer, destined for the Nürburgring, was joined by the Dark Horse Challenge car recently piloted by Chris Harris and Chris Hoy at Le Mans.
Star Cars That Stole the Show
Among the many highlights, several builds captured the imagination of the crowd.
Guy Martin’s 900bhp Transit Supervan
A true talking point of the day, Guy Martin's Nürburgring-conquering Supervan is far from a gimmick. This fully customised, rear-wheel-drive beast is powered by a twin-turbo V6 EcoBoost engine producing a staggering 900bhp. Built in a humble shed but tuned for maximum attack, this vehicle's presence at the Fast Ford stand was a major draw.

James Price’s Twin-Turbo V8 Focus
Dubbed the 'Flexus', this extraordinary machine began life as a humble £600 ST170 Focus. Its transformation is nothing short of remarkable, now featuring a rear-wheel-drive setup powered by a twin-turbo Lexus V8, a Nissan 350Z rear end, custom side-exit exhausts, and some of the most impressive fabrication work seen in years.
Steve McCutcheon’s Mk3 Escort RS Turbo – Cosworth-Powered Sleeper
From a distance, this appeared to be a clean, mildly modified Series 1 Turbo. However, lifting the bonnet revealed a forged Cosworth YB engine, a T34 hybrid turbo, 4x4 running gear, and a host of hidden upgrades. It was a perfect example of a wolf in sheep's clothing, dripping with 1990s Ford attitude.
40 Years of Ford Cosworth – A Legendary Celebration
A standout moment of Ford Fair 2025 was the special display marking 40 years of the legendary Ford Cosworth. Featuring 30 cars spanning three iconic generations, the display was a living tribute to four decades of RS heritage. From pristine, low-mileage survivors to monstrous 800bhp track weapons, the variety and quality of the Cosworths on show were truly impressive.
To mark the occasion, Dave Lee of XYZ Fabrications created a hand-finished Cosworth YB cam cover trophy for the best car in the display, alongside custom-numbered keyrings for each owner. Fast Car magazine also launched a special 132-page Ford Cosworth 40th Anniversary Bookazine, available on the day, featuring the model's full history, feature cars, and tuning advice.
A Lap for Deano – A Touching Tribute
One of the most poignant moments occurred just before lunch, as 50 Fords embarked on a slow, respectful parade lap around Silverstone in memory of Dean ‘Deano’ Lewis, a true legend of the Ford scene. The procession was led by Dean's own beloved cars, 'Bluey' the Mk1 Escort and 'Poppy' the Mk2 Focus RS. The track fell silent, and the emotion was palpable throughout the paddock and grandstands, serving as a powerful reminder of the close-knit community spirit that defines the fast Ford world.
Custom Trophies – Celebrating Craftsmanship
The awards ceremony at Ford Fair 2025 was a celebration of creativity. Instead of standard trophies, winners received unique pieces of art crafted by Mancavepembs and XYZ Fabrications using Sealey Tools. The awards included a turbo lamp for Best Engine, a working gear shifter lamp for Best Interior, and a spray gun lamp for Car of the Show, among others. All winners were crowned live on the main stage.
